The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSA) is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products. In April 2011, CPSA announced several product recalls because they create fire hazards - this included snow blowers and recycler mowers, fire sprinkler heads, acquarium heaters, candles, bicycle lights, unit heaters, garage heaters, riding lawn mowers, and leisure tents.
