The Oregon Humane Society’s 24th Annual Doggie Dash took place on Saturday morning, winding its way from SW Naito Parkway, over the Hawthorne Bride, along the Eastbank Esplande, over the Steel Bridge, and back to the Waterfront Park.

The 2.5 mile “Bridge to Bridge” route left many dogs and their owners thirsty, and participants enjoyed their stop over for water at Portland Fire & Rescue’s Station 21 just under the Hawthorne Bridge.

Not only is the annual event a great people and pet watching opportunity, but 100 percent of the proceeds goes directly to the Oregon Humane Society, raising upwards of $200,000 for animals in need.
