Portland Fire Lieutenant Alan and Firefighters Wendy, Taylor, and Casey from Engine 4 in SW Portland traveled up Marquam Hill on Tuesday afternoon to dish out ice cream and fun to kids of all ages from Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Whether it was playing with kids in the outdoor gathering area, visiting with family members, or delivering ice cream and hamburgers to nurses, doctors, and room-bound kids and family members, firefighters made new friends and enjoyed giving back to others.
