Lieutenant Mike and Firefighters Mary, Vincent, and James from Station 19, which serves the Montavilla, Madison South, Center, and Mt. Tabor neighborhoods, visited Marquis Care at Mt. Tabor located at 6040 SE Belmont on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 24th for a Kids’ Safety Fair.
This fair was hosted by Marquis Care and targeted the children of their employees and neighborhood kids, inviting them to attend learn about how to have a safe, fun summer.
The kids had the opportunity for hands-on tours of various emergency response organizations’ vehicles, including Portland Fire & Rescue Engine 19, an American Medical Response ambulance, and a Portland Police vehicle. Also fun was the kids bounce house and slide as well as the BBQ lunch and sno-cones to help beat the heat!
During the visit, Engine 19 stayed in-service, ready to respond to any emergencies in their fire management area.
