May 7, 2012 -- On Saturday June 16, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, firefighters from agencies across Oregon and Washington will converge in Newport, Oregon to battle for culinary glory at a three course cook-off competition!
Being slated the "5 Alarm Firehouse Cook-Off," this contest will test firefighters' skills in creating mouth-watering slaw, a main disk, and dessert.
Tickets for adults are $13.00 in advance, $15.00 at the door, students are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door, children ages 6 to 11 are $5.00, and children ages five and under are free. Your ticket entitles you to an "all you can sample" extravaganza from the talented fire chefs! All proceeds will go to the Newport Food Pantry that provides emergency food services in Newport, Oregon.
