It was a sunny day in Portland on June 16th as many came together to celebrate the 2nd annual TIP Cruise In and Cook Out. The event was held at Portland Fire's Training Center at 4800 N.E 122nd Avenue. The food was provided by Portland firefighters who cooked a delicious lunch for the event.
This event also came with some competition. Participants were able to enter their car, truck, bike, or even their fire rig at the cruise-in. Every participant received a goody bag and trophies were handed out to the winning entries.
This event wasn’t just about food, fun, and showing off cars. It was also about raising money for the TIP (Trauma Intervention Program) Program. The cruise-in is one of several fundraisers for the program every year. The money raised goes towards supporting TIP, which trains volunteers to respond to traumatic events and help those in need cope with the event.
