Firefighters were dispatched to a garage fire (9905 SE Yukon) at 7:17am. While they were responding they were forewarned by 911 dispatchers that there was possibly someone still inside. Station 11 (Lents) arrived first to smoke and flames coming from a detached garage. They quickly made entry, found a man inside, and pulled him to safety. Fire Medics provided needed medical attention and the patient was transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

Station 29 (Gilbert), Station 25 (Woodstock), and Station 7 (Mill Park) also responded and assisted with fire suppression, containment, and ventilation. A fire investigator also responded to the scene to determine a cause and fire damage estimate. This information will be updated as it is received.
