NEWS RELEASE 3/1/13: Portland Fire & Rescue Responding to Residential Fire at NE 40th and Emerson St
UPDATE: 3/1/2012 @ 2139hrs
After an aggressive attack by the first arriving company, Engine 12 (NE 86th & Sandy) the fire was contained and extinguished within 10 minutes.
There were no civilian or firefighter casualties.
The fire cause has been determined to be "electrical".
The structures value was $104,350.
Damage to the structure was estimated at $30,000.
Damages to contents estimated around $10,000.

Portland Fire & Rescue is Responding to a Residential Fire at NE 40th and Emerson St. Upon arrival Engine 12 encountered heavy fire and smoke coming from a single story residence.
Motorists should stay away from the area to allow fire apparatus to access the area. Expect potential traffic delays in the vicinity.
