Portland Fire & Rescue respond to a fall at a construction site (Photo)

Just before 2:00pm Portland Fire & Rescue crews responded to reports of a construction worker that fell through a hole in the roof, landing two stories below. When crews arrived, they found the construction with serious injuries, but in stable condition. With limited stairway access due to the construction, the Technical Rescue team was activated to assisted with extricating the patient out of the building using an aerial ladder and rope system to lower the patient to the ground. The patient remained in stable condition throughout the operation and was transported by AMR to a local hospital.
