Operation Nightwatch receives Blankets!

July 27, 2016

Portland's Operation Nightwatch (ONW) team recently received 3,000 blankets, provided by the Department of Defense, to help Portland residents experiencing homelessness.

A provision in federal law allows agencies involved in disaster relief – including homelessness agencies – to apply for free blankets.

ONW is a non-sectarian night ministry of hospitality organization that is dedicated to serving Portland's homeless and low-income population.

Their mission is to provide necessary resources and a safe space, where friendships can be developed. ONW has multiple hospitality centers throughout Portland.

To see which center is in your district, and for information about how to support Operation Nightwatch’s work, check out ONW’s website.
