Many thanks to Leigh Quenton, who helped in our office recently as part of the Spring Break Internship program offered by Parks. Leigh is a graduate of Jefferson High School and currently a student at Portland Community College. She joined over 30 other youth interning around Portland at "green" jobs.

The Spring Break Internship program is part of GRUNT, the Greenspaces Restoration and Urban Narutralist Team, a Parks program offering teens in our community the chance to gain job skills and work experience in the environmental field. The program begins with training and continues with paid summer jobs and school-year internships.
