This morning, the Coalition for a Livable Future proudly presented a Community Conversation Event featuring United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Deputy Secretary Ron Sims. Nick was honored to introduce Deputy Secretary Sims at the event and to welcome him back to Portland in his capacity as Deputy Secretary.

The Fair Housing Council of Oregon (FHCO) presented two events today in recognition of Fair Housing Month. This morning, a historic bus tour explored the history of housing discrimination in the Portland area. Then, at noon, FHCO presented a luncheon featuring keynote speaker Kevin Boyle, author of "Arc of Justice: A Saga of Race, Civil Rights and Murder in the Jazz Age."

Nick was proud to speak at the event and to present an official City Proclamation declaring April Fair Housing Month in Portland.
