Last Saturday, Nick attended the 3rd Annual "Artist in the Park" event at April Hill Park in SW Portland. The event brought neighbors together for a number of creative activities - painting, photography, writing, dancing, music, and more.

Art supplies from SCRAP, the School and Community Reuse Action Project, made lots of these activities possible.

City Nature staff from Portland Parks & Recreation were also on hand to lead tours of the park.

Thanks to community partners like the Friends of April Hill and the Maplewood Neighborhood Association, April Hill Park is in better shape than ever before, with new signs, a new kiosk, and natural area restoration efforts underway.
