Central City Concern participants mark 10,000 hours of community volunteering
July 2, 2010
Central City Concern (CCC) is one of the City's more important community partners in the fight to end homelessness. CCC offers affordable housing options, healthcare, addiction recovery services, employment training, and work opportunity programs to help Portlanders transition from addiction and homelessness to recovery and self-sufficiency.
If the move into CCC housing is step one, connecting to a healthy lifestyle is step two. The three-month Community Volunteer Corps (CVC) program engages participants in meaningful volunteer opportunities, helping them build marketable skills while them make positive contributions to our community.
Next Wednesday, July 7, CCC will celebrate the success of participants who have given 80 hours of their time over the past three months. The celebration also marks 10,000 of volunteering over the life of this program.
Congratulations to all of CVC's graduates!
