Parks announces agreement with Ethos, Inc., to manage IFCC
July 9, 2010
Earlier today, Portland Parks & Recreation announced an agreement with non-profit arts organization Ethos, Inc., to occupy and manage the historic Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center (IFCC) on North Interstate Avenue.
The contract formalizing the agreement will come to Council next Wednesday, July 14. Said Nick, "this is an excellent fit for the IFCC and for the residents of north and northeast Portland. Ethos has a long history of fostering multi-ethnic, multi-cultural programs, education, and performances, which is exactly what we hoped to be able to continue at IFCC."
Ethos will work with community partners to incorporate a broad variety of arts programming into IFCC's calendar and to establish community panels to help steer program selection.
