Portland Farmers Market Executive Director announces departure
August 26, 2010
We're sad to say that Ann Forsthoefel, who has helped Portland Farmers Market grow to national recognition during her two years as Executive Director, will be departing Portland at the end of this year.
Writes Leslie Cole in this morning's Oregonian, Ann has worked hard to expand the presence of farmers markets around Portland - she helped the PSU market double its footprint this year, opened new markets in the King neighborhood and downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square, and relocated the Ecotrust building market to Northwest 23rd.
At a time when we're working harder than ever to help Portlanders access fresh, healthy, local food, Ann's leadership will be missed! We wish her all the best in Missoula and look forward to hearing about her future successes.
