Zenger Farm hosts 3rd annual "Farm to Table" fundraiser

Zenger Farm is a Northwest treasure. The outer southeast parcel was first owned in the 19th century by Jacob Johnson, the namesake of Johnson Creek. It was purchased by Ulrich Zenger in 1913, and passed to City ownership in the 1980s, when the Bureau of Environmental Services purchased the land, preserving it as a wetland to collect the area's stormwater. It became a working farm once again in 1995 and in 1999 the Friends of Zenger Farm secured a 50-year lease from the City, officially making the land a public space.
Today, Zenger Farm is a non-profit farm and wetland dedicated to promoting sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, local economic development, an access to healthy food for all. The 10-acre wetland and 6-acre farming operation provide the perfect setting to offer hands-on learning opportunities for kids, farmers, and families.
The farm offers lots fun workshops and events each month - if you've ever wondered how to pickle your fall vegetables, use worms in your composting, or just wanted to see a working farm up close, Zenger Farm probably has a class or tour for you! Check out their schedule of events.

The fundraiser features a four-course meal crafted from produce fresh from the fields by chef Jor McGarry, wine and beer from Oregon's finest wineries and breweries, and a silent and live auction showcasing our region's best food and farm treasures.
