12th Annual African American Homeownership Fair
October 25, 2010
Homeownership fairs can be an amazing resource for people thinking of buying a home. This weekend, writes Connie Potter in the Oregonian, the African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH) will offer its 12th Annual African American Homeownership Fair.
Prospective buyers, Potter says, can speak to lenders and home inspectors, sign up for homebuyer education programs, and learn about financial support for down payments and closing costs. Thanks to NW Natural, free lunch will be available from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.
The AAAH, one of the Portland Housing Bureau's valued community partners, works to increase homeownership and economic stability for underserved communities.
For more than 10 years, the AAAH has served our community with programs like the Homebuyer Coaching Project, the Annual Homebuyer Fair, the IDA match savings fund, individual Homebuyer Counseling, and foreclosure prevention services.
