Helping local partners develop affordable housing is one of the Portland Housing Bureau's top priorities. PHB is very proud to be a partner in the Woolsey Corner housing community in North Portland's New Columbia.
Woolsey Corner is a community of 8 homes nestled between Rosa Parks Elementary, a Parks community center, a Boys & Girls club, and the Seeds of Harmony Community Garden. The homes far exceed state energy efficiency standards and include all kinds of amazing - and cost-saving - green features.
Commissioner Fish was excited to be part of the Woolsey Corner opening this morning.
The project was led by local non-profit Proud Ground, which has helped more than 100 first-time homebuyers purchase homes in the last decade.
Congratulations to Proud Ground and to the rest of the partners who helped make this happen!
