Give!Guide 2011

November 10, 2011

Story by David Nguyen

The Willamette Week’s eight annual Give!Guide is here!

It’s an easy way to supportPortland’s amazing non-profits, including a number of our valued community

partners, including:

  • JOIN
  • Harper’s Playground
  • Street Roots
  • The Classroom Law Project
  • Audubon Society of Portland
  • p:ear
  • MercyCorps
  • Growing Gardens
  • Elders in Action
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Community Warehouse
  • Schoolhoouse Supplies

In its first year, the guide generated $24,000 in donations. Last year, our community collectively gave an astounding $1.16 million.

The Give!Guide focuses on young donors, between the ages of 18 and 35, helping build a new generation of donors committed to supporting local non-profits.

And did we mention prizes? Donations between $10 and $499 will receive a postcard loaded with coupons good for discounts and freebies all over town. (In addition to those goodies, the first 1,000 or so donors of $100-$499 will receive a Chinook Book app.)

A $500 to $999 donation will get you home delivery of a wine from A to Z Wineworks, a nice bag of Stumptown Coffee, Widmer beer and a Chinook Book app, and more. There are also prize tiers for donations of $1,000 - $2,499 and $2,500+, including a personal visit from one of WW's owners!

The more you give, the more you get - we hope you'll take part.
