Giving voice to the voiceless
May 1, 2012
We’d like to share a story about our friend Leo Rhodes, published in the April issue of Grant Magazine - a student-run publication at Grant High School.
Leo is a tireless homeless advocate, Street Roots vendor, and poet. In J.J. Miller’s essay, "Giving Voice to the Voiceless," Leo shares his personal history and the challenges that led to 19 years of homelessness. He also shares the inspiring path he took to find a home of his own with the help of veteran assistance programs.
