Summer Free For All tips off this Wednesday!
June 26, 2012
By David Nguyen
Join Nick, Mayor Adams, Parks Director Mike Abbaté, Governor John Kitzhaber, and community members at Portland Parks & Recreation’s Summer Free For All Tip-Off celebration this Wednesday, June 27.
Our tip-off party features live music, games, crafts, a bouncy house, a rock wall, and best of all, free lunch for kids!
As part of the Multnomah County's Book 2 U program, library staff will be there to set up a free book reading table. Kids can take home the books without late fees.
Some of Portland's finest from Portland Fire & Rescue will also be at the party, showing off a shiny fire truck and offering fire hats, coloring books, and stickers. Stop by and say hello to the Portland Trail Blazers' mascot, Blaze the Trail Cat, or discuss the Timbers' recent victory over the Seattle Sounders with Timber Joey!
This summer, enjoy free concerts, movies in the park, playground fun, and free, healthy lunches for children in our beautiful parks and green spaces.
