Restoring Oaks Bluff Trail

July 18, 2012

By David Nguyen

Work to help restore Portland Parks & Recreation's Oaks Bluff Trail in Southeast Portland's Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge will begin in the next couple weeks.

The trail is over 6,900 lineal feet and has been in place since the early to mid 1970’s and is in desperate need of repair.  The improvements will includes trail restoration, native planting, new boardwalks, walls, entry ways, and an overlook area.

The work will require the closure of the trail during restoration.  Restoration is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

Check the Closure Map for more details.
