Friends of Laurelhurst Park lead clean-up effort
August 6, 2012
By David Nguyen
On Wednesday, Friends of Laurelhurst Park will lead a work party to help clean up Laurelhurst Park in Southeast Portland from 9 am to 12 pm.
Volunteers will repaint benches and tables, water new plants, cut back growth along the lake trail, prune underbrush, azaleas, and rhodies along the gravel trail, cut dead limbs, thin plant limbs, and remove invasive plants.
Everyone is welcome to help! Please bring work gloves, and meet at the blue-green building at 3600 S.E. Ankeny St. on the north side of the park.
Cant make it this Wednesday? Friends of Laurelhurst Park has several more work parties planned all the way through December. Check out their website for more details.
