Dwell Magazine features Bud Clark Commons
August 7, 2012
Dwell Magazine recently highlighted the beauty and innovative approach of our nationally recognized Bud Clark Commons.
The article featured the services provided by the Commons, including our focus on Housing First - providing safe, affordable homes for Portland's most vulnerable, chronically homeless individuals.
Dwell also describes the Commons' visionary design, including natural light, sustainable building materials, and attention to detail. The result is a warm, inviting space that can change lives.
A year into its operation, Bud Clark Commons has helped thousands. Transition Projects, which operates the 90-bed men's shelter and day service center at BCC, has helped over 7,500 individuals access Transition Projects programs. Home Forward provides supportive services with its 130 permanently affordable apartments.
