Summer Free For All comes to a close
September 14, 2012
We may be holding on to the summer heat a little longer, but the leaves are beginning to change and young Portlanders are back to school.
Our 2012 Summer Free For All came to a close last Saturday, with the final Portland Parks & Recreation movie in Wallace Park. Neighbors enjoyed Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and snacked on popcorn after sundown.
This summer, Portlanders enjoyed nearly 50 free concerts, over 40 free movies, special performances at the Washington Park Summer Festival, free swims at our local pools, and free, healthy lunches for children in our parks and playgrounds.
Thanks to all of you who came out to enjoy our green spaces, pools, and community centers this summer - and special thanks to our wonderful sponsors for making summer in the parks a success!
