A Thanksgiving Feast for Southeast
November 29, 2012

On Thanksgiving day, Nick and his two children attended Feast for Southeast. This community Th
anksgiving celebration served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for 576 Portlanders, surpassing its goal by 44%.
Nick thanked the project's founders, calling the event a huge success. He has pledged his support for the Feast in the future.
Growing immensely in popularity since its founding three years ago, the Feast's partnerships with community organizations and individuals foster its continued success and create a sense of community among participants. Rob Selva, Founder and Executive Director says, "this is a clear indication that this is something the community needs and wants. We are currently exploring ways to bring more of what Feast for Southeast does to Portland."
In addition to dinner, guests were given gifts of warm clothing and toys. Project Warmth and Project Toybox, part of Feast for Southeast, distributed over 3,000 donations from the community.
