Join us to celebrate Gray's Landing
December 10, 2012
This Friday, join Senator Jeff Merkley, REACH CDC, and the Portland Housing Bureau to celebrate the grand opening of Gray’s Landing.
Gray's Landing brings 209 new, affordable homes to the South Waterfront neighborhood. 42 of the homes are reserved especially for low-income veterans.
The City of Portland was proud to invest more than $25 million in local dollars to support the development of this state-of-the-art building. It honors our commitment to creating affordable housing opportunities in both emerging and established neighborhoods - to offer Portlanders real choice in where they live.
The Portland Housing Bureau partnered with mission-driven non-profit, REACH CDC, to develop, own, and operate Gray's Landing. For over 30 years, REACH has been providing quality, affordable homes for individuals and families throughout our community.
Gray's Landing is named in honor of the late veteran and philanthropist John Gray. Mr. Gray was a well-known businessman and philanthropist. But what not everyone knows is that he was also a veteran, serving in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division in WWII. He earned a Bronze Star for his service.
We hope you will join us to celebrate the grand opening of this remarkable building, and to honor John Gray's legacy.
