Gray's Landing
December 17, 2012
On Friday, Nick was proud to join REACH CDC, community members, elected officials and friends of John Gray for the grand opening of Gray’s Landing.
The ceremony featured an inspiring keynote address by Senator Jeff Merkley, a moving tribute to the late philanthropist and veteran John Gray by his friend Tom Walsh, and stirring music by bagpiper Tim Birr and the Grant High School Royal Blues Choir.
We were pleased to be joined by Bud Clark, Barbara Roberts, Gretchen Kafoury, Deborah Kafoury, Amanda Fritz, Sam Chase, HUD Director Mary McBride, and many other distinguished guests.
Gray’s Landing brings the first affordable homes to the South Waterfront neighborhood. The beautiful, LEED Platinum building includes 42 homes dedicated to low-income veterans.
With the opening of Gray’s Landing, hardworking families across Portland have more choice in where they live – from Lents and Cully, to Hillsdale and now South Waterfront.
