March 9, Friends of Arbor Lodge held a work day at Harper’s Playground.

Around 45 people showed up, many from the Timbers Army, to provide some TLC to the neighborhood park. Volunteers weeded tree wells, laid fresh wood chips, painted picnic tables and benches and performed many other beautifying upkeeps.

Harper’s Playground opened last fall in Arbor Lodge Park in North Portland. Cody and April Goldberg led the effort to build the new playground, inspired by their daughter Harper. Harper’s Playground builds community by providing a completely inclusive playground where children and adults of all abilities can play together.
