Join us on April 20 for the Grand Opening of the Mt.Tabor Community Garden.

The Grand Opening celebrates a first and a last for us. The Mt.Tabor Community Garden is the first community garden in the Mt.Tabor neighborhood. The event also celebrates the last grand opening of our 1,000 Gardens initiative.

In 2009, we pledged to create 1,000 new gardens by the end of 2012. Not only did we reach our goal, we surpassed it.

The new community garden was generously sponsored by the Friends of Portland Community Gardens and Ames True Temper Tools. A heartfelt thank you to all the neighbors and community members who made this garden such a success.
