To celebrate, the Friends of Portland Community Gardens and the Portland Parks Foundation invite you to a benefit screening of the award-winning documentary Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us?

This new documentary reveals how crucial honeybees are to the environment, and how bee populations are on a major decline. All over the world, mass quantities of bees fall victim to Colony Collapse Disorder, where worker bees in a colony abruptly disappear.

The screening starts at 7 pm at the Bagdad Theater. After the film there will be a Q & A with the director and producer, filmmaker Taggart Siegel.

Tickets are $9 at the door. All proceeds from the benefit will go to Friends of Portland Community Gardens.
