Sir Knight Nick Fish
June 7, 2013
Today, Nick was honored to be Knighted by the Royal Rosarians in a special ceremony in Washington Park.
The Royal Rosarians have a rich history in Portland dating back to 1912. They are the official greeters and goodwill Ambassadors for the City of Portland, promoting the best interests of the City and the Portland Rose Festival. Since 1920, the Rosarian Prime Ministers have had the pleasure of naming Honorary Knights and Dames.
This morning, Nick was Knighted with the bright yellow Freedom Rose. He was proud to join Senator Jeff Merkley, Senator Betsy Johnson, Astronaut Stanley Love, Olympian fencer Mariel Zagunis, and other community leaders in accepting this honor from the Rosarians.
Special thanks to Prime Minister Gayle Whitehurst, Royal Regent Rob Hungerford, and the Queen of Rosaria Kate Sinnott.
Nick will wear his Medallion with pride.
