Summer Free For All kicks off with Peninsula Park Centennial Celebration!
June 26, 2013
Join Nick and Commissioner Amanda Fritz tomorrow for the kick off of the 2013 Summer Free For All, and to celebrate the Centennial of Peninsula Park!
If you haven’t heard, Summer Free For All is “where it’s at” for free summer fun. There’s a whole host of events for everyone to enjoy. This year’s kick off celebration couldn’t have landed on a better date or place, as it coincides with the celebration of Peninsula Park’s – and Portland’s oldest rose garden’s – 100th birthday.
Summer Free For All and the Centennial Celebration will feature a ceremonial rose planting, circus performances, live music, rockwall climbing, arts and crafts, food vendors, and much more! The evening will also feature the first summer movie in the park, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted starting at 6:30 pm.
The momentous occasion begins at 11 am at Peninsula Park, don’t miss it!
