Sounds of the World
June 27, 2013
Join us on Friday, June 28, at 6 pm for “Sounds of the World” in Director Park.
Sounds of the World highlights artists and performers from Portland’s wonderfully multi-ethnic communities. The evening brings the community together to break down stereotypes and create better understanding among diverse groups through the arts. Take part in this opportunity to enjoy music, spoken word, and dance performances from cultures around the world.
If you’ve never been before, Director Park is a beautiful public piazza that is actively programmed to complement downtown, support arts & culture, and highlight Portland Parks & Recreation.
The event is made possible through a special partnership with Colored Pencils Art and Culture Council, Regional Arts and Culture Council, Portland Parks & Recreation, Oregon Arts Commission, United Way of Columbia - Willamette, The Asian Reporter, PhoenixLotus Photography, and wonderful volunteers from the community.
The event is free. A $10 donation is suggested to support the project next year.
We’ll see you there!
