Welcome Portland’5!

August 20, 2013

Yesterday, The Portland Center for the Performing Arts unveiled their new name as Portland’5 Centers for the Arts!

The Portland’5 Centers for the Arts is the 5th largest performing arts center in the nation. They bring over 1,000 music, theater, dance, and lecture performances to Portland each year because we know that art matters. Art brings joy, inspires the mind, and unites communities. Art changes lives.

The purpose of the name change was to make clear that these beautiful art spaces belong to you, the citizens of Portland.Portland’5 embodies the spirit of each theater in its new design logo. The logo illustrates how the spotlights hit the stages in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, the Keller Auditorium, Newmark Theatre, the Winningstad Theatre, and Brunish Theatre.

Along with the name change, Portland’5 launched a fabulous and easy-to-use new website.

Congrats Portland’5, you’re beautiful!
