Support local businesses and save!

Books, dorm room, class schedule, and discount card?
To promote spending at local businesses, the University of Portland (UP) and the University Park Business District is launching “The Pilot Experience,” a discount card program given to all incoming students.
As Casey Parks reported in The Oregonian yesterday, “More than 40 businesses offer discounts on services, entertainment, and dining.”
If you’re not a UP student you can still take advantage of the discounts by purchasing the card for $10. Half of all the sales go to the UP alumni association.
The new program launches tomorrow night at 5 pm during the school’s annual Bites on the Bluff event at the Chiles Center Plaza, just in time for the season opener of the Portland Pilots, the UP women’s soccer team!
