Earlier this month, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) announced that The Right Brain Initiative program will enter six new schools in the Portland metro area.
In 2009, RACC launched Right Brain to transform learning for all children in the Portland tri-county area through arts, creativity, innovation, and whole brain thinking. Through a partnership with public schools, local government, charitable foundations, businesses, and the cultural community, 14,000 students in 49 schools will have an education with integrated arts programs.
This year, the Gresham-Barlow School District became the first district to involve Right Brain with every one of its elementary schools.
Congratulations to the six schools and all the students that get to participate in this visionary program!
