Preserving Portland's history
May 1, 2014
Join us to celebrate Portland’s unique architectural history!
May is National Historic Preservation Month. This year’s theme is The New Age of Preservation: Embark, Inspire, Engage.
The Architectural Heritage Center (AHC) and the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) have partnered on an exhibit that highlights Portland’s architectural history – from the old Portland Hotel to some of our original neighborhood storefronts. Normally displayed in City of Portland and Multnomah County buildings, the art works are part of The Visual Chronicle of Portland and the Portable Works Collections.
AHC and RACC invite you to join them on May 2 at 6pm for First Friday, a free opening reception for the month-long exhibit!
Engage with fellow art and history buffs and see inspiring art work by local artists! The exhibit runs through May 31.
Friday, May 2, 6 – 8 pm
Exhibit through May 31
