Fall planting
September 19, 2014
This Saturday, take your green thumbs over to PlantFest 2014.
In celebration of autumn’s arrival, Hardy Plant Society of Oregon is having a plant extravaganza!
A well-known secret among gardening enthusiasts, autumn is a great time to plant water-efficient flowers and trees. Oregon’s rains help establish those new plants to blossom beautifully in the following year.
PlantFest begins with a lecture entitled, “Weird & Wonderful Plants,” followed by a plant sale from 22 specialty nurseries.
Hardy Plant Society of Oregon is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the love of gardening, with an array of educational programs and events throughout the year.
