Portland has a strong nonprofit community thanks, in part, to stellar leaders and board members.

The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is hosting The Art of Leadership, a training program to prepare business professionals to serve on the boards of arts and culture organizations. The series of workshops was first created by Business for Culture & the Arts.

Hear from expert speakers, participate in sessions with arts and business leaders, observe arts boards in action, and go on a “speed dating” session to meet boards that are looking for new members!

Renowned arts consultant George Thorn is leading the series, which will kick off in November.

Apply online by October 26 – tuition is $800, or $700 for companies participating in the Work for Art program. A few partial scholarships are available.
