The survey says...
November 5, 2015
Today, the City Auditor Mary Hull Caballero released Portland’s 2015 Community Survey.
Each year, the Auditor’s office gathers Portlanders’ feedback about the quality of City services, from parks and streets to our public utilities.
And, 2015’s survey says our utility bureaus are doing well!
The Auditor highlights that, “sewers and storm drainage showed significant improvement in positive ratings.” Since 2011, the Bureau of Environmental Services’ ratings have increased by 10%! And more than half of the residents said BES is doing a good or very good job of protecting water quality in our local streams and rivers.
For the Water Bureau, 72% of residents rated water services as “good” or “very good” – a slight increase from 2011, but a big jump from last year’s 62%.
The Water Bureau is one of the top five highest-rated city services, and Portlanders continue to love our high-quality, safe, and reliable Bull Run tap water. 87% gave it high marks!
Thanks to the many Portlanders who participated in the survey – and to the hardworking women and men at our City bureaus.
