Clean-up at Johnson Creek!
August 26, 2016
This Saturday, join over 100 volunteers to help clean-up our beautiful Johnson Creek.
Johnson Creek travels 26 miles before reaching its confluence at the Willamette River in Milwaukie. The creek passes through upland forests, farms, residential communities, wildlife refuges, industrial enclaves, and golf courses.
Last year, 160 volunteers removed an incredible 3.5 tons of trash from the creek! All sites will be prescreened by trained project staff.
After the clean-up, sponsors will host a community barbecue event by Overland Park Coalition from 12-2pm.
Make sure to bring a water bottle and appropriate closed-toed shoes are required. Be prepared to get wet and muddy!
For questions, contact project staff at info@jcwc.ord or call (503) 652 – 7477 ext. 101.
