Elders in Action: Lunch and Learn with author Ashton Applewhite
October 26, 2016
This Friday, join Elders in Action and SAGE (Senior Advocates for Generational Equity) for a “lunch and learn” discussion with Ashton Applewhite.
Ashton is the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism. The book follows Applewhite’s journey from “apprehensive boomer to pro-aging radical.” It goes on to explain the roots of ageism – in history and in our own age denial – how it divides, and more.
Lunch attendees will get to join in on a two-hour discussion about achieving a more inclusive and age-friendly community.
For more information, visit Elders in Action online at eldersinaction.org. To RSVP call (503) 235 – 5474 or email info@eldersinaction.org.
