November 2, 2016

Today, Council unanimously approved a resolution introduced by Commissioner Fish that resumes the sale of Terminal 1 North, prime industrial land in Northwest Portland owned by the Bureau of Environmental Services.

This action was supported by a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon, the Portland Utility Board, the Portland Business Alliance, neighborhood associations, and community members across the city.

Proceeds from the sale will be returned to ratepayers and used to stabilize future utility rates.

Moving forward, Nick will continue working with the community and City Council to fund and implement creative and humane solutions to our housing crisis.
