On Saturday, Nick was pleased to join Representative Suzanne Bonamici for Small Business Saturday along NW 23rd. They were joined by Heather Hoell of Venture Portland and Pat Fiedler of the Nob Hill Business Association.
Small Business Saturday continues the sales and holiday shopping energy of Black Friday while supporting neighborhood small businesses.
Portland’s neighborhood small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. For every dollar spent at a local small business, 70 cents stay in our community.
Nick and Suzanne visited four local businesses: Tender Loving Empire; Gem, Set, Love; EcoVibe Apparel; and Child’s Play Toys. NW 23rd is still recovering from the natural gas explosion in October. Saturday was a great opportunity to show support for the small businesses affected by that tragic event.
Nick is proud to serve as Council liaison to Venture Portland, which supports our 50 neighborhood business districts.
