Oregon Food Bank
Thank you for the Oregon Food Bank for partnering with the Gateway Center Foundation in support of our participant kitchen. Their generous food donation enables our survivors, their children and their families to eat when some of them may have just fled their abusive situations. We appreciate their wonderful and hard work! To learn more about the Oregon Food Bank, please check out their website at: https://www.oregonfoodbank.org/
Clothing & Personal Hygiene
Clothing and personal hygiene donations are greatly appreciated. The Gateway Center has a clothes closet for participants who come to the center and need clothing and hygiene products. The staff do not have time to re-washed items and pre-clean them, so please make sure items are reusable and clean. Clothing should be free from large rips and tears.
- Women's and children's clothing are accepted.
- Young boy's clothing is especially appreciated.
- Personal hygiene items are accepted (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
Small electronic devices in working order are also accepted. Cell phones are particularly helpful because anyone can dial 911 in case of an emergency for free, even an old cell phone with no service plan. Read the article in the New York Times - Old Cell Phones Can Still Call 911 - NYTimes.com
- Cell phones - can be old, but must have working battery pack
- MP3 players
