CRC Liaison Duties
- Drafts and communicates regular and workgroup meeting agendas; prepares relevant materials for committee review; attends meetings, takes notes, and prepares and distributes meeting minutes; sends out appeals meeting notices to involved parties (appellant, involved officers, Internal Affairs); reserves meeting space and makes food arrangements.
- Coordinates Appeal Process Advisors (APA). Per Protocol 5.21, an APA will be designated to assist an Appellant/Officer before and during Case File Review and Appeal Hearing.
Prepare case file materials for Committee members. Per Protocol 5.11, each Committee member is also required to review the complete administrative investigation case file prior to the hearing.
Acts as an administrator for the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) remote access server which serves as a portal for Committee members to access confidential case file materials. This includes managing all user accounts log in information, trouble shooting technical issues, and maintaining contents housed on the server.
Updates and maintains contents on the Committee’s website including Committee member’s biographies, workgroup reports, applications, and meeting agendas.
Coordinates Committee’s training sessions which include: Citizen academy, police ride along, tour of various facilities within the Police Bureau.
Assists IPR Senior Outreach Coordinator with recruitment process by drafting and updating various promotional materials, scheduling interviews and trainings.
