Grant Selection Committee

The Office for Community Technology is engaging in Participatory Grantmaking, which is an approach to funding decisions and strategies that emphasizes a human-centered approach and aims to shift traditional power dynamics in grant-making decisions to communities and those most affected by a social issue.

OPEN Opportunity - Small Business Digital Navigator Grant Selection Committee

Please consider applying to sit on the selection committee. Individuals serving on the Selection Committee cannot be representatives of an organization that is applying for grant funds. However individuals interested in serving this year, could go off the committee after participating in this funding cycle and apply through their organization next year. 

Individuals interested in serving on the Small Business Digital Navigator Pilot Program Selection Committee will need to submit an Interest Form (Google form) no later than April 20, 2022.

Small Business Digital Navigator Grant Selection Committee Duties:

  • Attend a virtual Orientation Training meeting on Monday, April 25 (time TBD).
  • From April 27-30, individually review each grant application and evaluate and score using the grant program’s identified criteria.  Due to the pilot nature of this new grant program, staff are unable to estimate an approximate time commitment required at this time.  
  • Attend a Committee meeting on Monday, May 2 to discuss individual evaluations and select which application to fund.

 

CLOSED Opportunity - Community Digital Navigator Grant Selection Committee

Thank you to everyone who applied to be on the Committee. Through a random drawing of the applications received, three individuals were selected to serve on the Community Digital Navigator Pilot Program Selection Committee. 

Community Digital Navigator Pilot Program Selection Committee Duties:

  • Attend a virtual Orientation Training meeting on Monday, April 11.
  • From April 13-18, individually review each grant application and evaluate and score using the grant program’s identified criteria.  Due to the pilot nature of this new grant program, staff are unable to project an approximate time commitment required at this time.  
  • Attend a Committee meeting on Monday, April 18 to discuss individual evaluations and select which applications to fund.
