Welcome to Computers (fka Earn-a-Computer) is led by Multnomah County Library in partnership with Free Geek and MetroEast Community Media. The program provides digital literacy training through a series of classes in multiple languages such as Somali, Spanish, Russian, Karen and English. After completing training, participants receive a computer from Free Geek along with support to sign up for low-cost, high-speed internet service at home (Comcast's Internet Essentials). Welcome to Computers program partners with community-based organizations, such as Hacienda CDC and Human Solutions, to reach participants.
